~ PDF PATTERN – MINIMAL  LEATHER CARD HOLDER  ~

This minimal Leather card holder is designed to be handcrafted and does not require any machines to get to the final result. Building it is a great exercice to help you learn and master the saddle stitching method which is the one I use to make my models. Saddle stitching is an ancient technique used by artisans long before sewing machines arrived and is still as of today the most durable and resistant method that exists. So if you are looking to adventure in the universe of handmade leather crafts, this pattern and model is made for you.

~ TOOLS & MATERIALS NEEDED ~

Your hands
leather type : vegetable tanned leather
Cover leather : 1.5 – 2 mm thickness
interior leather : 1.0 – 1.2 mm thickness
Thread / between 0.5 & 1mm
Pricking Iron, mallet, Needle, cutter & ruler
Edge finish : Sanding paper & Edge paint or Edge burnisher
