Built from vegetable-tanned full-grain leather and assembled with traditional saddle stitch, this lanyard badge holder is built to withstand daily wear. The 4 mm 9-strand 100% nylon paracord (51 cm fixed length) ends with a Mexican snap hook that closes both leather panels and secures the card inside.
Sized for standard ID and access badges (5.4 × 8.6 cm), the transparent front window keeps your badge visible without removing it from the holder. Edges are hand-burnished with an edge slicker. The leather will darken and develop a personal patina over time. Badge not included.
Your vegetable-tanned leather will naturally develop a patina over time. This is not a defect, but a sign of an authentic, high-quality material.
To keep it looking its best, apply a natural leather balm once a year or whenever the leather begins to feel dry. Use a soft cloth and gently buff the surface after application.

Full-Grain Vegetable-Tanned Leather

Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather works that way. Selected from Chadefaux and slowly tanned with natural tannins, it keeps its grain, its nuances, and the variations unique to each hide.
Over the years, it darkens where it is touched, softens, and develops a patina. It takes on the character of the person who carries it.
Saddle stitch, sewn by hand
A strong stitch is not always something you notice at first glance. You see it with time, when the object keeps holding up through daily use.
Every Darksails wallet is hand-stitched using the saddle stitch technique, with two needles and waxed linen thread. This creates a dense, regular seam where every stitch contributes to the strength of the whole.
It is a slow gesture, but an essential one: it creates a durable, repairable stitch, made for pieces that are meant to be kept for years.
