This storage basket is handmade in Bordeaux from thick, unlined full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. Cut from a single piece, it takes shape through folds and interlocking tabs that form its four sides without any stitching. Brass snap fasteners secure the construction.
Open at the top, its compact format keeps keys, wallet, glasses, cables, or desk essentials together on a desk, entryway table, or nightstand. The edges are polished and finished by hand. With use, the black leather will develop a patina of its own.
Your vegetable-tanned leather will develop natural patina over time. This is not a defect, it's a sign of authentic, quality materials.
In order to make it last, use natural leather balm every year or when the leather seems a bit dry. Apply with a soft cloth and buff gently.

Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather works that way. Selected from Chadefaux and slowly tanned with natural tannins, it keeps its grain, its nuances, and the variations unique to each hide.
Over the years, it darkens where it is touched, softens, and develops a patina. It takes on the character of the person who carries it.
